New release from Aerologic

Aerologic features in our December 2016 release, out today, with his first solo release in over a year. Breathless builds up with a growling dark bass and breaks down into a melody featuring a haunting piano riff and uplifting warm synth chords, set over pumping electronic beats. Sangria evokes the summer sun and party nights with infectious happy piano chords and upbeat synth arpeggios playing a latin flavoured melody. Both tracks are free to download from our release page here.

Blastculture moves the ocean!

Our August release is from Blastculture, who has been busy in his studio once again to present two new tracks. Pumping up the tempo, Set Yourself On Fire features a relentless rhythm track with an energetic hi-hat pattern, hits, stabs and effects. By contrast, Moving The Ocean is a mellow house track with an infectious female vocal sample, smooth pads and a solid rhythmic groove. The Aerologic remix turns the track into an uplifting trance anthem with melodic synth sounds and and uplifting melody. Download the tracks free of charge on our release page!

New house and chillout mixes of Uneven Symmetry

For our latest release, available today, Aerologic joins with Notch to present an epic house track with a throbbing bouncy bassline, uplifting pads and haunting piano mid section, reaching a crescendo with acidic stabs, soaring strings and a bleepy trance riff. Psychadelik Pedestrian also provides a chillout mix which combines the original pads and melodies with a half speed, chilled groove. Download them now free of charge from our release page!

Remixes of Marc Burt’s Elements available for download

Marc Burt’s 2002 debut track Elements gets an update in this release with two new remixes. Psychadelik Pedestrian’s chillout mix blends the recognisable echoing chords and haunting piano from the original and adds downtempo, chilled rhythms and analogue synth sounds. Marc Burt and JMD remix builds up with the original piano and chords, before breaking into a trance anthem with big arpeggios and pumping beats. Grab them from our release page today!

Two new house remixes of Psychadelik Pedestrian

Expertly timed to fit in with two of our autumn album releases, our latest EP features two club remixes of Psychadelik Pedestrian tracks. The original mix of Hypnotise was included on our Best Bytes 3 compilation and Phish Funk have joined forces with Aerologic to bring the track to the dancefloor. Combining the funky house sound of Phish Funk with the upfront progressive EDM vibe of Aerologic and the stuttering electro arpeggios of the original track, our new club mix of Hypnotise features funky bass guitar alongside electronic house grooves. Pulse is taken from the new Psychadelik Pedestrian album Fifteen, and here Notch pumps up the tempo and adds deep house rhythms while keeping faithful to the original electro track, using the punchy melody and synth riffs. Download both tracks on our release page.

Blastculture remixes Aerologic

Our latest EP release, available to download today, features two new remixes from Blastculture who takes on two recent Aerologic tracks, Escapade and Jangle. Reworking Aerologic’s upfront EDM sound with his own unique funky yet minimal house sound, Blastculture adds tribal rhythms, glitchy beats and deep bass grooves – listen and grab those free downloads on our release page.

Blastculture returns with a new EP

Our June release is here! This month we welcome back our friend Blastculture, who has created two new intricate house grooves for your listening pleasure. Crime Scene pumps along with a slightly acidic bassline riff while Lets Try To Sleep Now features a dark and brooding bassline alongside those crisp Blastculture beats and is definitely one for late night listening. To complete the EP, Aerologic has also produced an uplifting remix of Lets Try To Sleep, with a simple yet catchy plucked lead hook and plenty of reverb. So don’t fall asleep and go grab those downloads now – it would be a crime to miss them!

Two new progressive house tracks

This month, Aerologic presents two brand new tracks in our latest release which is available for download today. Kicking things off is Transformation, featuring a massive trance supersaw riff, tingling arpeggios and a bleepy melody. The second track, Jangle, features plenty of warm synth chords and a deep, growling bassline building to a crescendo before breaking into uplifting trance melodies. As usual, both tracks are free to download as MP3 files and available for re-use under a Creative Commons licence – check them out on our release page.

Celebrate our 10th birthday with our latest release!

Ten years ago on 8th March 2005, we released an EP from trance producer JMD featuring two tracks, Thirty One and Formation. Although the Toucan Music website had been live since January 2004, and had been releasing music online since 1997 under the name Frantik Music, the release of Thirty One and Formation marked a significant moment. Before this two track EP was released, Toucan had promoted all its music on external websites, such as the now-defunct Vitaminic and MP3.com free download portals. In 2005, Toucan Music became a netlabel and we began promoting music downloads directly on our own website, making our audio available under a Creative Commons licence for re-use. Ten years and a hundred and seven releases later, we’re still here! Having clocked up well over a million downloads, our netlabel has gone from strength to strength while continuing to promote a diverse range of electronic and dance styles. Grab our remixes of JMD on the release page here.
