[22 Dec 2006] NEW PREMIUM RELEASES ONLINE

Two new Marc Burt tracks are available to download now on Marc's new premium release. First up is "Last Flight Home", a haunting progressive trance tune with warm pads and atmospheric reverbed guitar. Complementing "Last Flight Home" is "Momentum", an uplifting trance cut with plenty of reverb and synths. Download them now from the premium releases page.

[09-Dec-2006] FULL LENGTH DJ MIX AVAILABLE
Now available to download free of charge is Toucan's end of year mix for 2006, which features over 20 tracks mashed up and mixed by John Dalling. The mix takes a journey through the wide variety of dance and electronica styles explored at Toucan, starting off with some breakbeat, progressive and commercial house, moving into electro and old skool style breaks, and finishing with uplifting melodic trance and hard house. [01-Dec-2006] NEW EPIC ELECTRONICA RELEASE
Psychadelik Pedestrian is back on the case this week with the long-awaited new version of instrumental electronica track "Another Boring Lunchtime", originally written ten years ago in 1996. The 1999 remake of "Another Boring Lunchtime" was the first ever Toucan track to go online in December 1999, and it is this version that Psychadelik Pedestrian sticks close to with the new remake. In addition, a JMD trance remix is available plus a bonus remake of tongue-in-cheek organ breakbeat track "Virtual Trojan Fish". Download them now from the current releases page.

[17-Nov-2006] NEW TRANCE / ELECTRO-HOUSE RELEASE
Marc Burt's original version of "Lies" is a bouncy yet haunting progressive trance cut, with warm synths and some sampled glockenspiel action; perfect for both the dancefloor and also the mp3 player. The Beat Doctor mix takes the tune and adds sweeping sidechained pads, reversed synth sounds and a deep bassline. Both mixes are DJ friendly full length versions, ideal for mixing into your set. [29-Sep-2006] NEW ACID BREAKS / HOUSE TRACKS TO DOWNLOAD
Psychadelik Pedestrian has teamed up with Dave Kent for the latest Toucan two track release. "Fish Ate My Monkey Tank" is a remake of Dave's 2000 track "Monkeys Ate My Fish Tank" and features hard distorted breaks, squelching acid riffs and throbbing bass. "More and More", the second track, is instrumental dance / house with strings and a catchy piano riff. Download them both from the current releases page.

[08-Sep-2006] LOST SOUL REMIXES STRANGER IN PARADISE
Talented freeform artist Lost Soul, aka Jordan, has remixed Hyperterminal's 2000 track "Stranger In Paradise". The remix takes the piano and warm trance synth sounds of the original and wraps around screaming acidic riffs, banging hardcore beats and haunting reverb effects.

Lost Soul is an up and coming figure in the freeform scene and has had his tracks released on labels such as Nu Energy, with his track "Dark Side Of The Moon" featured on the well known Bonkers series of albums mixed by such hardocre luminaries as Sharkey. If you want to find out more about Lost Soul, check out his website and download some of his tracks - for freeform, hard trance and hardcore fans its definitely worth a listen.

[12-May-2006] BRAND NEW HOUSE AND TRANCE RELEASES
Three new premium releases are now available - the first, "Freak Of Nature" sees the return of Marc Burt who has joined forces with the Beat Doctor to create a mellow yet melodic trance house hybrid. Phish Funk are also back with a new track, "Peru", which blends their traditional funky house sound with panpipe effects. Finally, Beat Doctor is back on the case with the progressive house track "Accident and Emergency", featuring an assortment of siren samples! The new micro-site for Toucan Hardcore launched today, Toucan's sub-label for things a little bit harder and faster. The tracks featured at the moment are previous hardcore releases from Toucan by Dreamworld, however some brand new tracks will be available shortly to kick start this new site. [02-Jan-2006] 2005 CHARTS ONLINE
The 2005 Toucan download, plays and percentage charts are all now online! Congratulations to DJ Rise, who scoops the top three places in the download chart, with "Tribal Echo" at number 1 - previously a new entry at number 9 in the 2004 chart. Dreamworld, Space Invaderz and Marc Burt take the remaining places in the chart with the oldest track being "Science Fiction" (2001). Space Invaderz also top the preview plays chart with new track "Out Of Your Face", and The Toucan have a surprise top place in the percentage chart with "Freshen Up".

Altogether in 2005, Toucan tracks recorded 75,695 downloads - up over 20,000 on 2004's total. This total is just taken from free downloads on recorded sites, not including other sites such as OurMedia.org or our premium releases - so the real total is likely to be considerably higher. Thanks to all our artists and all you folks out there for listening to the music... let's make 2006 another memorable year!
