Our August release is from Blastculture, who has been busy in his studio once again to present two new tracks. Pumping up the tempo, Set Yourself On Fire features a relentless rhythm track with an energetic hi-hat pattern, hits, stabs and effects. By contrast, Moving The Ocean is a mellow house track with an infectious female vocal sample, smooth pads and a solid rhythmic groove. The Aerologic remix turns the track into an uplifting trance anthem with melodic synth sounds and and uplifting melody. Download the tracks free of charge on our release page!
For Netlabel Day 2016 we are releasing two brand new three track EPs, available to download today. The Shot In The Dark EP features a trilogy of new electro house tunes from Beat Doctor, returning after a five year hiatus. Shot In The Dark leads the EP with a bouncy, uplifting bassline, rippling arpeggios and an echoing vocal snippet. Remote Control System has a similar echoing vocal sample but takes a more minimal approach with a relentless computerized bassline and bleepy sounds. Clockwatchers completes the trilogy with pumping house rhythms and old school rave stabs. For the other EP, Psychadelik Pedestrian follows up his recent LP, Fifteen, with three new tracks in a slightly different style on his Un-unplugged EP. Replacing the chilled vibes of Fifteen with a harder, electronic sound on this EP. Starting with warm yet relaxing pads and piano, Unprovoked Attack launches unexpectedly into heavy trip-hop beats, distorted guitar-esque synths, and floor-shaking bass, while keeping an uplifting melody in traditional Pedestrian style. Drones is a faster, more minimal outing with relentless tribal rhythms driving deep pitchbending sub-bass interspersed with a haunting piano riff. Naked Flames completes the EP with a more melodic, pop-influenced track, again with echoing distorted electric synths and deep, rumbling bass. All tracks on both EPs are available under a Creative Commons licence, free for re-use in your own DJ sets, videos and podcasts.
We’re celebrating the second Netlabel Day again on 14th July with some more brand new tracks. Here’s an exclusive preview…
For our latest release, available today, Aerologic joins with Notch to present an epic house track with a throbbing bouncy bassline, uplifting pads and haunting piano mid section, reaching a crescendo with acidic stabs, soaring strings and a bleepy trance riff. Psychadelik Pedestrian also provides a chillout mix which combines the original pads and melodies with a half speed, chilled groove. Download them now free of charge from our release page!
Marc Burt’s 2002 debut track Elements gets an update in this release with two new remixes. Psychadelik Pedestrian’s chillout mix blends the recognisable echoing chords and haunting piano from the original and adds downtempo, chilled rhythms and analogue synth sounds. Marc Burt and JMD remix builds up with the original piano and chords, before breaking into a trance anthem with big arpeggios and pumping beats. Grab them from our release page today!
Today we’ve released the second set of remix samples from Psychadelik Pedestrian’s Fifteen LP – this time for Pulse, an electro breaks track first featured on Toucan Music’s Netlabel Day 2015 EP. Head on over to CCMixter to download them: http://ccmixter.org/files/psychadelik_pedestrian/53685.
Blastculture and Notch return with three new remixes of tracks taken from the Psychadelik Pedestrian LP Fifteen. With two new remixes, Blastculture opts for different styles: Sergio’s Last Remix of Sleep Tight launches into a rhythmic house workout with smooth dancefloor grooves while his Steady State Remix of Hit The Deck is a faster track with a darker feel, with hard house and techno influences. Notch concludes the release with a house remix of Sleep Tight, keeping the original keyboard riffs and adding smooth electronic beats, crisp rhythmic hi-hats and a subtle yet punchy organ riff. All remixes are available to download free of charge in high quality MP3 format. Find out more on our release page.
Starting this week, we’re making samples available for several tracks from the latest Psychadelik Pedestrian album, Fifteen. First up are stems from the opening track, Into The Ether, a haunting atmospheric electronic piece which begins with a chilled electronic piano riff and lush pads, building into a darker brooding dubstep-influenced electronica. The samples can be used in any way you like – you can do a full remix of the track or use them in your own works. Under a Creative Commons BY-NC licence, you can also share anything you make using the samples as long as you don’t make a profit commercially. Head on over to CCMixter to download the samples.
For our March release, Notch captures that deep house vibe with two new original tracks. Lose You features an infectious house riff with crisp house rhythms and deep sub-bass, interspersed with female vocal snippets. Spirals builds with a filtered old school piano riff and large throbbing bassline, before breaking into a mellow house groove with pads and a squiggly trance riff. As usual both tracks are available as free downloads in high quality full length MP3 format – download them from our release page.
